In this role as Manager – Regulatory Affairs you’ll be responsible for managing Virgin Atlantic’s day-to-day relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and aviation industry stakeholders in India. You’ll ensure compliance with national aviation policies, facilitate operating permits and slot approvals, and support codeshare schedule filings. You’ll also play a key role in policy advocacy, representing the airline in industry forums and supporting our regional partnerships, including with Indigo.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with DGCA, AAI, MoCA, and other key authorities.
  • Ensure timely submission of operating permits and seasonal schedule filings.
  • Represent Virgin Atlantic in regulatory meetings, industry forums, and working groups.
  • Support leadership in lobbying efforts and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and partners on codeshare agreements and schedule updates.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and act as a key contact during audits or crisis situations.
  • Support with regulatory requirements for Virgin Atlantic partnerships

Alongside the above, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs, government relations, or liaison roles within aviation or transport.
  • Strong knowledge of India’s aviation regulatory landscape and government protocols.
  • Experience working with DGCA, AAI, MoCA, or airport authorities.
  • Proven ability in policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to manage sensitive relationships with diplomacy.
  • Right to live and work in India.
