In this exciting role as Account Manager, you'll be responsible for the retention and growth of profitable revenues from each customer within the assigned territory and/or customer portfolio. You’ll also take ownership for selling all Virgin Atlantic Cargo products on flights originating in the Americas region.
  • Visit assigned customers within the allocated territory in accordance with the call plan and within specified time scales, aligned to key metrics
  • Pre-plan visit objectives to acquire new business, retain existing business, improve profitability, ensure customer happiness/loyalty, or resolve customer issues
  • Partner with customers to discuss sales leads, new routes, high-yield products, customer data (e.g. FAB records), previous visits, and product or schedule changes
  • Explore and develop new sales opportunities, commodity-specific traffic, customer business developments, and address service failures
  • Supply promotional items and manage demand on high load-factor routes
  • Summarise and agree on action points and timelines with the customer following visits
  • Build a full picture of business opportunities to collaborate with Revenue Management and formulate compelling proposals
Do you have proven experience selling for an Airline/Charters or freight forwarding internationally? Do you have the ability to develop and implement customer business plans? Then this could be the role for you!

Alongside the above, we're looking for the following:
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Preferred experience using Salesforce
  • Ability to quickly establish strong, positive relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade and influence to close the sale
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to translate data into commercial actions
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned Eastern US sales region, which includes: JFK, EWR, BOS, IAD, and ORD
  • The right to live and work in the US
