At Virgin Atlantic Airways, we believe that everyone can take on the world, and it's our vision to become the most loved travel company.

We already have one of the most modern and cleanest fleets in the industry and are currently in the process of expanding and improving our fleet even further. Over the last 12 months we’ve taken delivery of several Airbus A330neos to add to our existing fleet of A330, A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft.

With our expansion, we need to increase the number of talented technicians working in our hangars, and on the line, and this is where you come in!

As Aircraft Technician (Cabin), you will be responsible for accomplishing delegated cabin maintenance tasks on VAA or contracted customers aircraft to the required Airworthiness standards. The primary objective is to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft by achieving, and striving to exceed, the standards of airworthiness set by Corporate and Airworthiness Authority policy, procedures and requirements.
You will carry out hands-on maintenance of aircraft cabins and related systems and components.

A Technician will also be expected to work on delegated tasks without supervision using their own initiative.

You will apply sound engineering practices to your duties and fully communicate actions, ensuring an excellent standard of maintenance in order to adhere to appropriate standards and reduce the risk of financial penalties and damage to reputation.

You’ll participate in appraisals – both team and individual.

You will implement effective control of costs as applicable to job role, helping to optimise revenue and manage cost.

Drive compliance with Engineering safety.

Technicians must adhere to manufacturers approved maintenance procedures and the instruction of the designated supervising Engineer.

  • Have successfully completed a recognised aeronautical apprenticeship or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Possess a sound aircraft engineering background, with relevant experience, demonstrating clear and effective hand skills and thinking.
  • For Licensed Technicians, you will hold CAA Licence qualifications coupled with the associated certification responsibilities, as required. Holding company approvals on fleet aircraft types, in respect of CAA Licence categories held.
  • Have experience and technical knowledge of the Virgin fleet, sufficient to determine the airworthiness of any component or system.
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrable adaptation to changes in working practices and environment
