In this exciting new role, you’ll be responsible for delivering technical training to our pilots on Boeing 787, Airbus A330, and A350 aircraft. Initially, you would instruct on either our Boeing or Airbus fleet.
Teaching would include instructor-led training, overseeing CBT sessions in class, including delivering Dangerous Goods Training, and instructional sessions instructing company SOPs using Flight Training Devices (FTD). Preparation of lecture notes for trainees, presentation of lectures as required, and advising the CTKI of any vital revisions or amendments that are required to the course syllabi. You will also produce training course material and electronic presentations to develop our pilots.
Delivering Technical Training
- Deliver initial & recurrent Technical Training to Pilots from our in-house syllabus and regulatory requirements
- Prepare candidates to achieve appropriate examination standards, company approvals, and licencing requirements
- Manage and motivate candidates to encourage a highly proficient and dedicated workforce for VAA and external customers
- Co-ordinate with other internal and external providers to ensure effective delivery of assigned training programmes
Preparing course material
- Ensure that all course material is up to date, accurate, and meets the needs of the delegates
- Design and develop new courses, modules, and ad-hoc training courses based on up-to-date training needs analysis and using the most appropriate and cost-effective training technology
- Gather and monitor course feedback for the continuous improvement of courses and individual performance
Quality, Continuous Improvement and Projects
- Manage documentation and publications for the compliance and effective running of Flight Deck Training
- Production of reports and plans as advised
- Act as ‘focal’ for key department or VAA-wide projects as assigned, e.g., Entry Into Service projects for new aircraft types.
Do you have previous training experience as a Technical Instructor? Do you have a record of handling your own workload efficiently in a dynamic environment, showing initiative and proactivity? Then this could be the role for you!
Alongside the above, we are looking for:
• A proven track record as an aircraft Technician/Approved Engineer, Flight Engineer, or pilot.
• Previous training experience as a Technical Instructor is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, MS applications, and PowerPoint
• Ability to handle a multitude of work requests and projects at any one time and prioritise accordingly
• Ability to engage and work with other teams and stakeholders
• Simulator training experience would be advantageous
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be an adaptable, self-driven, and committed individual who can deliver effective and efficient training in a team environment.
