As Senior Manager Legal Counsel – Asset Finance, you’ll lead on high-value, complex legal matters across aircraft financing, leasing, and corporate treasury. Whether you're already in-house or currently at a leading firm and ready to make your first industry move, this is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-moving business with purpose, heart, and ambition.
- Lead legal support for aircraft and engine financing, leasing, redelivery, and disposal.
- Advise on banking and treasury matters including credit facilities, hedging, and security structures.
- Negotiate with banks, lessors, OEMs, and external counsel to secure commercially-sound outcomes.
- Support corporate strategy across joint ventures, restructurings, and cross-border transactions.
- Act as a strategic advisor on legal risk related to fleet and finance decisions.
- Collaborate across Virgin Atlantic’s legal function, flexing into commercial or corporate projects where needed.
- Qualified solicitor (UK or equivalent), with a strong academic background.
- 6+ years’ post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house role, ideally within aviation, asset finance, or banking.
- Deep understanding of finance law and commercial contract negotiation.
- Skilled in structuring and executing complex transactions with multiple stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset.
- Confident communicator, able to influence at senior and executive levels.
- Professional and composed under pressure, with excellent drafting accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborative and adaptable, with a strong sense of commercial judgement.
