Contract: 12 Months FTC/Secondment

In this role, you will have responsibility for route pricing strategies across multiple brands, ensuring they are effectively controlled to achieve group margin and contribution targets. Working closely with Virgin Atlantic Revenue Management, Virgin Holidays Product and Sales teams, you will play a vital role in optimising revenue through working closely with key internal departments as the first point of contact for departmental queries. Providing weekly and monthly trading reporting, detailing concerns, and highlighting opportunities to the business.
  • Ensure controls are in place to track the accuracy of margins and progress toward forecasts.
  • Apply revenue management principles at route (macro) and accommodation (micro) levels throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage profitability throughout the booking curve – track rate of sale and margin profiles throughout the booking curve at the component level.
  • Implement Revenue Management methodologies to optimise performance.
  • Provide weekly and monthly trading reporting, detailing concerns and highlighting opportunities against forward departure date budget requirements, detailing actions taken and to be taken.
  • Compile, utilise, and present competitor data analysis ensuring information is accurate and that we are well-priced within our competitive set.
  • Investigate Competitor / Pricing / Margin and availability issues ensuring communication with relevant departments.
  • Support Commercial Trading Manager in reviewing and optimising processes within VAH Revenue Management Team.
  • Provide support and coaching when required to assist with the development of the Executive – Route team.

  • Ability to constructively challenge business decisions and provide alternative suggestions that are well-thought-out.
  • Great attention to detail and an ability to present data in a dynamic, insightful, and informative format that is easy to understand.
