Coordinator – Station Security Officer
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 40 hrs per week (Work schedules include evenings, weekends and holidays)
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 1st November 2025
Under the direction of the Manager – Aviation Security & Compliance, the Station Security Coordinator – ICN is responsible for the coordination and oversight of security measures in accordance with local aviation authority regulations, Virgin Atlantic Corporate Security and UK DfT regulations.
The role represents Virgin Atlantic Corporate Security Head Office at ICN airport and works closely with the airport team to ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements.
The Coordinator supports the implementation and continuous improvement of security measures, while providing day-to-day guidance to ensure the safe, secure, and on-time performance of Virgin Atlantic’s flight operations at ICN Airport.
The role plays a key part in overseeing performance to ensure all key operational and customer service indicators are met.
You'll provide security managerial and supervisory support to our Airport team to ensure the safe, secure and on-time performance of VAA’s flight program and operation.
- Responsible for ensuring that all relevant security policies are implemented in the areas under their control and for the day-to-day management of security issues delegated to them.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure implementation of the airline security programme meticulously in all airports of operation.
- Maintain effective liaison with authorities, law enforcing agencies, airport operators and other stake-holders.
- Maintain and update service records, training records, AEP records and other important records pretending to Security. Accountable to any security lapse by the airline security staff. Organize surprise checks to test the alertness and efficacy of the airline security staff.
- Risk Assessments carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- Support from a security perspective as needed with regards to EU Ops, Corporate Security and safety Audits
- Attend monthly Safety and Security Management Meetings
- Ensure company manuals and training records are current, up to date and understood by all relevant parties.
- Continuous improvement and excellence in OTP and implementation of effective initiatives that support this activity.
- Investigate, act on and respond to Occurrence Reports, investigations and Customer Relations complaints.
- Training records are up to date and necessary licenses are current and valid
Do you have in-depth knowledge of international, regional and national aviation security regulations? Do you have prior experience in security operations of South Korean/multinational companies or experience in other security related law enforcement fields? If the answer is ‘yes’, then this could be the role for you!
Alongside the above, we're looking for the following:
- Completed Aviation Security related training and be able to obtain required security clearances
- Familiarity with risk management and IRMA
- Leadership and influencing skills, comfortable operating with significant levels of detail
- Excellent conflict resolutions skills, with the ability to remain effective under pressure.
- Comfortable at planning and organising at a tactical level, whilst keeping a high personal standard and professional – an ambassador for VAA
- Ability to assess complex operational situations and implement solutions.
- Able to assimilate data quickly and concisely and use it to inform Operational decisions.
- Champion for the customer balancing this with cost
- A great communicator, with excellent cross functional and teamworking skills
- Ability to engage people in shifting priorities
