Location: Hybrid working 3 days a week in either our Cargo Facility at DCE - London Heathrow or VHQ in Crawley. Please note the working week must include a Thursday at DCE.

As the Sales Support Executive – Europe at Virgin Atlantic Cargo, you'll play a vital role in supporting our regional sales efforts. From assisting our appointed General Sales agents (GSAs)across Europe to handling pricing, capacity, and routing enquiries, you’ll ensure seamless operations and collaboration. Additionally, you’ll provide training on Virgin Atlantic systems and maintain up-to-date records in Sales Force CRM, enabling us to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the air cargo market, excellent teamwork, and a passion for driving efficiency and accuracy in sales support.
This role is also crucially important given the current European GSA transition in process and set for a phased implementation over the first half of 2025. This role will play an integral part in this process and is responsible for supporting both our current and new chosen EU supplier(s).
Ex EU cargo has delivered £22m in revenue over the last 12 months and we are forecasting increased market share over the next 12 months.
- Serve as the primary sales support for off-line continental Europe GSA’s in 16 territories, as well as some key customer accounts
- Train GSA employees on Virgin Atlantic systems, such as Voyager (Skychain)
- Carry out administrative tasks, including preferential rate requests, booking assistance, Sales updates, GSA performance reporting and New account setup
- Handle ad-hoc pricing, capacity and routing enquiries
- Update Sales Force CRM and coordinate capacity and pricing requests on behalf of GSA’s
- Collaborate with internal teams including Operations, Revenue Management, Pricing, and Commercial Insight
- Assisting the EU Regional Sales Manager in delivering the assigned revenue budget for the European territory

We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience and knowledge of the international air cargo market
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to persuade and influence
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Collaboration and teamwork skills
- Self-motivation with the ability to work with minimal guidance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Voyager (Skychain) system is desirable, but not a requirement
