At Virgin Atlantic Airways, we believe that everyone can take on the world, and it's our vision to become the most loved travel company. As we embark on this next exciting stage of our journey, we’re harnessing our spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation to challenge the status quo.
You’ll be driving insights across a variety of different areas in Engineering (Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, Cabins, Commercial, you name it!) to deliver operational excellence across a dynamic operation. Examples of this could be supporting cabin maintenance, to give our customers and Crew the best experience possible or to optimise our supply chain – to get the right things in the right place at the right time! This is an opportunity to experience a wide variety and flex your data skills – no 2 days are ever the same.
You will champion best practices in data modelling and visualisation to present accessible insights to non-data stakeholders, presenting findings in an intuitive and impactful manner.

You’ll develop and maintain data models to support BI reporting needs, ensuring they are optimised for performance, scalability and successfully integrated with existing data architecture.

As an Analyst, you will support the Manager – Business Improvement with the alignment of analytics, insights and reporting initiatives in line with E&M (Engineering & Maintenance) strategy and contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies in a compliance critical environment – ensuring high data quality and accuracy.

You will collaborate with departments across E&M and Virgin Atlantic, providing data and insights clearly and comprehensively, supporting the relevant data owners and stewards across E&M when required, and ensure timely and accurate delivery to support decision-making.
We’re seeking an all-round data player, interested in data engineering, data science, data visualisation and everything in between to work in our Engineering & Maintenance area as an Analyst. If this sounds like you, and you meet or exceed this we’d love to hear from you!

Experienced in data modelling, BI reporting, data analysis or a related field.

Degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience working with Supply Chain, Finance or Commercial data is desirable.

Strong proficiency in data visualisation and BI tools and technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms, with a track record of creating high-quality reports and dashboards.

Experience with advanced data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and in developing and maintaining data models optimised for performance and scalability.

Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Databricks is desirable but not essential.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical support and training, working effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensure high data quality and accurate documentation.
