Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

At Virgin Atlantic, we’ve always been about creating experiences that feel brilliantly different — not just for our customers, but for our people too.
Our Income Protection benefit looks after some of out most unwell colleagues, and we're planning some exciting changes to how we support our people, including pilots who can't fly for medical reasons. As our Benefit Implementation Lead, you’ll be at the heart of bringing this new benefit to life.
You’ll lead the design, development, and delivery of these changes; from policy frameworks to systems implementation — ensuring every element runs seamlessly and supports our colleagues when they need it most. It’s a rare opportunity to combine project delivery, supplier management, and employee experience design in one purpose-driven role.
And you'll make sure we're set up to brilliantly support those not currently able to work.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of changes to out income protection benefit, ensuring policies, processes, and systems are designed for long-term success.
- Partner with insurers, brokers, and occupational health providers to shape service delivery and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with People, Finance, Legal, and Flight Operations to align on policies, data, and compliance standards.
- Develop clear frameworks — including policies, guidance, templates, and communications — that balance clarity with compliance.
- Manage project plans, governance, and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth delivery and engagement across all functions.
- Lead hypercare post-launch to embed sustainable processes and continuous improvement.
- Experienced in employee benefits or insurance-based programmes, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
- A natural project leader, able to influence across functions and manage multiple workstreams.
- Skilled in supplier and stakeholder management, including contract negotiation and service-level governance.
- Strong understanding of employee relations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, with a hands-on approach to delivery.
