Project Engineer – Asset Management
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon - Friday)
Location: Heathrow / VHQ (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 3rd July 2026
This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile project engineer looking to be involved in the management of the high value cabin interior projects in the company by joining the Aircraft Programmes Team.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing end to end Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) supply of high value cabin interior or IFEC products.
The role works in a dynamic environment coordinating all activities to successfully manage our cabin BFE products through to delivery.
You will manage multiple cabin BFE suppliers at the same time liaising with and instructing other departments across the wider airline to ensure BFE products are delivered on-time and to specification.
You will be required to liaise extensively with our chosen suppliers and other external third-party providers. This role will require significant supplier management skills and experience.
- Ensure BFE products are delivered on time, all while considering wide ranging risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with other departments within Virgin Atlantic.
- Understand and interpret commercial contracts using previous knowledge gained within the aviation industry.
- Due to the global nature of the project, travel may be required to support key project deliverables.
- The role will develop a candidate, building on their existing skills and attributes reporting to the Manager Cabin Projects – Aircraft Programmes
- To succeed in your application, you will have a previous experience of Supply Chain, Part 145, Part CAMO and Part 21 environments.
- You will have hunger for problem solving and implementing process improvements for the delivery of BFE.
- You will have a thirst to be involved in complex and high value BFE products helping to shape the airline in a significant way.
