At Virgin Atlantic Airways, we believe that everyone can take on the world, and it's our vision to become the most loved travel company. As we embark on this next exciting stage of our journey, we’re harnessing our spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation to challenge the status quo.
The eMobility & Maintenance Systems Product Owner owns the strategic direction, evolution and day-to-day effectiveness of our eMobility maintenance systems, which complement our core Trax eMRO platform. These include QuickTurn, TaskControl, Line Control, Production Control, EzStock, Pilot Log and Cabin Log.
Working closely with our technology teams, our system partner Trax, and Engineering & Maintenance colleagues across the business, you’ll ensure our systems are compliant, intuitive and truly enable our people to do their best work, now and into the future.
You’ll lead the product roadmap, champion user experience, and help future-proof our maintenance systems as Virgin Atlantic continues to evolve.
- Own and evolve the eMobility product roadmap, shaping priorities, building business cases for enhancements, and balancing user needs with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the business super-user and subject matter expert for eMobility maintenance systems, supporting colleagues through training, guidance, and continuously improving processes and documentation.
- Lead the business coordination of system changes, including enhancements, bug fixes, upgrades and releases, working closely with Technology teams and our system partner, Trax.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system configuration, access management and change control, ensuring systems are robust, compliant and ready for operational use.
- Collaborate across Engineering & Maintenance, Data & Analytics, Continuous Improvement teams and industry peers to drive innovation, integration across Trax applications and an excellent end-user experience.
We are looking for someone who is an out-of-the-box thinker - who looks beyond silos, connecting systems, people and processes to find smarter, more effective solutions.
We’d also love for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:
- Significant experience in product ownership, systems management or technology-enabled change, with time spent leading projects or initiatives.
- A background in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience gained in complex operational environments.
- Strong understanding of agile ways of working, system development, release management and cloud-based solutions.
- Confidence working with diverse stakeholders, from engineers and SMEs to senior leaders and external suppliers.
- A coaching mindset, with the ability to support, develop and empower others while fostering continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge, influence and prioritise for the greatest business impact.
Although not essential, it would be great if you also have experience within aircraft maintenance or a Part 145 environment.
If this sounds like you, and you would like to unlock your potential with us, we would love to hear from you!
