Manager – Cargo Regional Sales UK
Location: Hybrid working 3 days a week in either our Cargo Facility at DCE (Dnata City East), London Heathrow or VHQ in Crawley (some travel required). Please note the working week must include a Thursday at DCE.
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive

As a Cargo Regional Sales Manager – UK, you will manage the commercial aspects of the cargo operation on behalf of Virgin Atlantic Cargo. Establishing and nurturing key customer relationships, overseeing sales and account management processes, and ensuring revenue and volume targets are consistently met.

- Drive revenue growth by maintaining and developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring regional sales targets for volume and yield are met.
- Lead, coach and support the Account Manager team to deliver effective customer engagement, efficient call plans, and strong commercial results.
- Manage and implement regional sales and marketing plans aligned with the Cargo division’s strategic direction.
- Oversee pricing and promotional activity in coordination with Head Office, Marketing, and the VP of Sales to ensure competitiveness and maximise revenue.
- Support import and export sales performance by maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage departmental budgets and contribute to annual and reforecast revenue planning.
Do you have proven cargo experience in either air cargo or logistics? Are you a trusted leader with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels? Then this could be the role for you!
Alongside the above, we're looking for the following to be successful in your application:
- Good working knowledge of setting and monitoring budgets.
- Proven track record in planning and prioritisation of tasks.
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to focus on results with strong influencing skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of local cargo market dynamics, practices and conventions
